Our Special Direction cases involves writing letter to the Minister of Immigration, we have a strong profile of Ministerial Appeals which successfully overturned decline decisions from the branch both offshore and onshore.

Examples of these cases are:

Decline Student Visa of an applicant offshore - reason of decline was non-relevance to the course intended. On the presentation of facts and relevance to the Minister's Office, applicant was given a positive student profile leading to the applicant to obtain student visa to come to New Zealand.

Decline of Visitors Visa of an applicant onshore - reason of decline was applicant not a bona fide visitor as having held a Work Visa previously onshore. On writing the Minister and re-presenting the evidences (which was not properly assessed by the immigration officer), the applicant was given the Visit Visa to continue to stay in New Zealand.

Character Waiver application.

Reinstating legal status of an Overstayer in New Zealand.
